Michael Uvalle, founding attorney

Michael Uvalle founded the firm after working for several of the largest insurance companies in Texas. There he saw from the inside how injury claims are evaluated and defended, and he decided to switch sides and use that knowledge for injured people. The firm calls it the Insurance Insider Advantage. Its motto is Work Hard and Do Right, and the values it lists are integrity, determination, client-centered service and action.

Our attorneys

Several of our attorneys came to the firm from the insurance side of injury claims. This is how the firm’s own pages describe them:

• Ian Nelsen, Partner Attorney. A former adjuster and insurance defense attorney; law degree from South Texas College of Law.
• Jonathan Harris, Partner Attorney and Managing Attorney of Litigation, Houston. Practising law since 1998, including more than a decade as a senior trial attorney for a major automobile insurance company.
• Howard Hill, Litigation Attorney, Houston. Practising since 1998, with more than 20 years with two of the nation’s largest auto and commercial insurance carriers.
• Rolando Reyna, Jr., Attorney, Dallas. Law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law.
• Robert Moss, Attorney. Licensed in Texas and Maryland, representing personal injury clients in Texas since 2019.
• Joseph Massey, Attorney, Dallas. A former workers’ compensation adjuster and manager.

How we work with riders

1. A free consultation. Call any hour, or send the form on our contact page. We tell you plainly how we see your claim.
2. A written fee agreement. We work on a contingency fee. There is no attorney’s fee unless we recover money for you, and we advance the case expenses. If there is no recovery, you owe us neither a fee nor those expenses. The agreement sets out the percentage and how expenses are repaid from a recovery.
3. We take over the insurers. Notice letters, the crash report, evidence, adjusters’ calls and liens.
4. You decide. We bring every offer to you with our advice, and the decision to settle or go on is yours.
